Strange Kozmic Experience Ongoing. The Grammy Museum downtown debuts the special exhibit Strange Kozmic Experience, highlighting the legacies of 1960s rock greats Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and The Doors. The untimely deaths of Doors frontman Jim Morrison, Joplin and Hendrix in 1970 and ‘71—all at the age of 27—marked the end of a decade unmatched in free-spirited and experimental creativity.
